What is an output and an input device ?

  • An input device is any piece of computer hardware equipment used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system. We give the signals(orders) to the input devices.

  • An output device is any piece of computer or hardware equipment used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system. The job that the output device is to respond to our action, signal or order. The monitor shows us what we do with an input device. When we print the output device sends what we have been doing.
